Wir hatten eine sehr gute Tour mit unserem Guide Frederic. Er hat uns in den 2 Stunden der Tour in die Geschichte des Louvre eingeführt und die Blockbuster des Museums vorgestellt. Seine Erklärungen waren detailliert und wissensreich. Leider reichen 2h nicht aus, um den kompletten Louvre zu sehen. Aber für mich war es ein toller Einstieg für einen weiteren Besuch. Empfehlenswert.

The Louvre is really worth seeing, huge and worth the price of admission. In my case, the reservation was absolutely unnecessary; there was practically no queue for reservations at free entry (even if it was only short). Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to commit themselves to this.

How does the timed-entrance ticket work? Your entrance time may be 30 minutes before or after the time you request. For instance, if you select 2:00 PM, your entrance could be at 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM, or 2:30 PM.
What are the museum’s opening hours and last entry time? The museum is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM; Friday from 9 AM to 9:45 PM; and closed on Tuesday. Last entry is one hour before closing.
Are there any specific entry requirements or closures I should be aware of? You will need to wait in the security line, some rooms may be temporarily closed, and the Salle des États has separate entrance and exit doors. The loan of strollers or wheelchairs is possible.
How will I receive my tickets and what do I need to do upon arrival at the Louvre? You will receive your Louvre tickets via email. Upon arrival, you must wait in the security line and pass your hands under a dispenser of hydro-alcoholic gel. Your skip-the-line ticket is valid for entry at the Pyramid entrance only.
