Yazid had such great energy. You could tell he really loves sharing his passion for Paris, history, art, music through his tour. I live here so I already was somewhat familiar with Montmartre but he gave so many fun facts I didn’t know. I learned a lot and had a great time. Yazid welcomed us to ask questions and offered to take our picture at any time. There were no crowds or climbing stairs. I would highly recommend this tour!

Brilliant tour brought to life with colourful and we’ll-researched storytelling – and even a bit of singing too! If you want to understand what makes Montmatre tick, learn the background to some of the artists who made it their home over the ages and also get a good walk without climbing lots of stairs, this is the tour to book. A high point of our time in Paris.

About the Paris Montmartre district
Perched high above Paris, Montmartre is a neighborhood that feels like stepping into a painting. Once home to artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, and Dali, its cobbled streets, cozy cafés, and sweeping views from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica make it one of the city’s most enchanting districts. But Montmartre’s true charm lies beyond the postcards — in its secret gardens, hidden stairways, and the stories whispered by its old stones.
Booking a walking tour with a local guide is the best way to uncover these treasures. A professional guide brings the area to life with interesting tales of bohemian artists, scandalous cabarets, and the fascinating history behind landmarks like the Moulin Rouge and Place du Tertre. They’ll show you where Amélie was filmed, where Renoir once painted, and where locals still gather for a quiet glass of wine away from the crowds. Exploring Montmartre on foot with someone who knows its every corner lets you experience the real Paris — creative, romantic, and endlessly surprising.
