La Galerie des Glaces: The Hall of Mirrors is undoubtedly the most renowned room in the entire Palace of Versailles, measuring almost 70 yards in length and featuring an astonishing 357 mirrors. Originally designed to reflect light and protect the walls from smoke, the mirrors created an enchanting effect by reflecting candlelight throughout the room.

On June 28th, 1919, the Treaty of Versailles, which marked the end of World War I, was signed in this iconic room. With thousands of rooms to explore, a self-guided tour of the Palace of Versailles can be overwhelming. But your tour doesn’t end there! With your ticket, you’ll also have access to Marie-Antoinette’s Trianon Estate, a separate palace-like complex located within the larger Versailles grounds. After the intro to the gardens, you can either choose to explore this estate at own pace, and when you’re ready, head back to Paris at your own convenience, or join our guide back to Paris after the introduction to the gardens.

Barbara was great as a tour guide, she answered questions, provided interesting info about the Chateau, and was so patient in moving us along a sea of people. I definitely recommend this great overview of Versailles and French history (the Louises and their wives). It is a great entry way into the palace and you can decide to explore the rest on your own. Great job, Barbara!

I really enjoyed the Versailles Palace. My tour guide Tiffin offered me a wheelchair right away. She could see I could hardly walk I have a handicap foot. My other tour guide at the Louvre did not offer me a wheelchair and that night my foot was killing me. I can walk some but that was lots of walking. Tiffin was great tour guide! I recommend this tour and if you’re handicapped and your tour guide does not offer the wheelchair please ask . I thought the tour was amazing and beautiful with all the paintings

Our tour guide vladina was great. Informative and excited about the material. She spoke clearly and provided great info without going overboard. Get your guide office easy to find. We ubered but it’s right across the street from the RER C metro line.
