Know Before You Go
- You may have to wait in lines for security and for the elevators. In high season, the total wait time to access the 2nd floor can be up to 25 minutes
- Summit ticket holders will have to wait in line on the 2nd floor to access the summit’s elevators. In high season, this wait can be up to an additional 20 minutes
- Your GYG voucher is not your ticket and must be exchanged at the meeting point before the activity. You cannot collect your Eiffel Tower ticket in advance
- There is no left-luggage facility at the Eiffel Tower for items such as wheeled suitcases, large luggage, non-folding strollers, etc.

Where and when do I exchange my voucher for the Eiffel Tower ticket? Exchange your voucher at 19 Avenue de la Bourdonnais, 75007 Paris, inside the souvenir shop. Please note that the time indicated on your voucher is for the Eiffel Tower visit and cannot be changed.

We met up with our tour guide and the other people in our tour group at a souvenir shop about half a mile from the Eiffel Tower. This gave us a chance to get a few souvenirs at a smaller price than the shops inside the Eiffel Tower. As we walked, our tour guide told us about the origin and history of the Eiffel Tower, which was really very interesting. She guided us through security and to the elevators. Once we were on the second floor, we only stayed with the group for a short time before going out to explore on our own. The view is amazing! A trip to Paris would not be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. We purchased the option to go up to the summit, and I feel that it was worth the extra cost. My daughter and I both share this as the highlight of our vacation. Purchasing tickets for the Eiffel Tower and having an English speaking tour guide was the right option for us; it took away any stress about not knowing where to go and what to expect from security.
We had a tour together with another family of four. We were able to walk through a back entrance and through security quite quickly. The guide knew a lot and was very knowledgeable. All in all a great tour. The store where we had to report was close to the Eiffel Tower.
We had Camille as our guide and she was absolutely fantastic! She was fun, funny, and knowledgeable. She told us great stories about the history of Paris and easily pointed out structures from the platform. She helped all of us breeze through the security lines. Ten out of ten recommend!
